From my career to my home life, being present and available for my family has always been my greatest motivation. When we embrace time with those we love, we enjoy life and spread that positivity with others!  Family has always been the most important part of my life. It was this unwavering love that led me to make the momentous decision to move back to Bloomington, Indiana, from Salt Lake City, Utah in 2007. Despite the challenges that lay ahead, I knew deep in my heart that it was the best choice for me, my children, and my family back home.

When I graduated from Miami University of Ohio, I decided to move to Salt Lake with the goal of living an outdoor lifestyle full of adventure. As an athlete, my parents always encouraged me to do the things I’m passionate about. But whatever I choose to do, I need to give it my all. I found myself working for a rock-climbing supply company, which aligned perfectly with my interests. This job allowed me to travel the world and build foundational skills. It was an exhilarating time, surrounded by individuals who shared my interests.

As great as things were, I realized that the demands of my job began conflicting with my desire to start a family. The long trips and extended time away from home became increasingly challenging, especially with my newborn son, Ethan. It was a pivotal moment that forced me to reassess my priorities and make a difficult decision. In light of this realization, I embarked on a new path, entering the world of real estate. I had a disappointing experience with a realtor in the past, and I felt compelled to provide a better experience for others. Armed with my background in purchasing negotiations and my keen attention to detail, I knew I could excel in this industry. With a leap of faith, I pursued a career in real estate, allowing me to be more present for my family, while helping other families too.

When I decided to move back to Indiana, it was scary to know I would have to rebuild my real estate career in a new market. When I pictured my kids, Ethan and Ivy, growing up around my family, I knew every obstacle ahead of us would be worth it. An important factor in my decision was that my older sister, Lissa, was diagnosed with breast cancer. I was flying back and forth with two young kids regularly to be supportive and help care for her. Moving back home would allow me to be even more present through this difficult time.

As we reestablished our roots in Bloomington, I was able to enjoy many of those important relationships with my parents, siblings, nieces, and nephews. Through my sister’s treatments, we spent a lot of time together, and our bond grew stronger. After her initial recovery, we enjoyed training and ran a marathon  together. Despite how well she was doing over the years, her health eventually declined, and she passed away in 2017. It was a heartbreaking time for all of us. As difficult as that time was, I couldn’t help but feel thankful my children had time with her. The pain of that loss remains with me. It is a constant reminder of the fragility of life and the importance of cherishing loved ones while we have them. When I reflect on my life, I’m proud that many of the biggest changes I made were for family – that is what truly matters.

My son Ethan is currently in media school, finding his way, and my daughter Ivy is in high school and involved in many clubs and activities. In my free time, I enjoy golfing, something my son introduced me to, and of course, spending time with family and friends! Life is filled with important moments and lessons, but what matters most is how we use them to help others. My experiences have shaped me into a compassionate, driven, and detail-oriented person. In my professional life, I’m committed to serving my clients with integrity and care. Real estate is often a highly emotional process. It’s important to me to empathize and support my clients, treating them the way I would want to be treated.

Every person has a different end goal in mind. For example, sometimes you’re trying to get the best deal possible, and other times, you need the fastest results. I firmly believe in taking the time to understand each client's situation without making assumptions. From there, I work hard to minimize your stress as much as possible and help you achieve your desired goals.
